What is Musalla Kidz?
Musalla Kidz is a non-profit educational organisation which was formed with a core vision to nurture children with Islamic learning, in a fun and accessible way. We aim to help parents inculcate those good qualities and habits within their children, that will help them traverse the difficult journey into adulthood, insha Allah.
We have already published many books in the past, like the Islamic Activity Books sold by Azhar Academy. We are hoping to re-release some of our popular titles and publish many more, insha Allah.
Our aim is to go beyond printed publications and produce videos to accompany every book. Children will be able to complete Islamic quizzes online, with the chance of winning prizes.
We also hope to create educational games for children of all ages, along with a Musalla Kidz app, especially designed to be child-friendly and packed full of fun.
How did we come about?
During our research into the various modes of Islamic education being provided for our children across the country, we identified a gap.
On one side of the spectrum, we saw children who were regularly attending evening madrasah settings, but were failing to apply their knowledge in the practical world, whether due to a lack of child-friendly resources or otherwise.
Whilst on the other side, we saw children from less fortunate backgrounds (financially or otherwise) being deprived of any formal Islamic education.
We believe this gap can be bridged by incorporating modern methods to aid the children’s learning, whilst maintaining the core values of our beautiful religion.
Going forward
Accessibility is one of our main priorities; we strongly believe that all kids – whether they experience formal Islamic education or not – should be able to make use of our resources at home, with the guidance of their parents.
To this end, we aim to provide engaging educational resources and child-orientated content, allowing children from all walks of life to learn and implement their knowledge in their everyday lives.
We aim to empower parents and give them the correct tools and knowledge to positively impact their child’s future and mould them into the Muslims of tomorrow.
